Business of the Month!

In June of 2011, our team was honored by the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce as their  Business of the Month!    We are considered an addition to the “Quality of Life” in Oldsmar. . . Yes indeed!   An excerpt from the Chamber newsletter:

"Our June business of the month has become a local institution through the years. They do not make anything, they do not sell anything. But they are in the business of making people in our area both happy and proud of our community. Of course I am talking about the Tampa Bay Water Ski Show Team.

They are a competitive group of skiers who strive to entertain audiences locally and globally.  With eight consecutive wins at the Southern Regional Championships, an award winning performance at the national level of competition and both national and international shows, this team has made its mark in the world of show skiing.

The most notable record held by the team is the seven man front flip off a standard 14' wide jump.  Many of the team's skiers have progressed to ski professionally at Cypress Gardens, Sea World, the Wisconsin Dells, Callaway Gardens and other international shows.  In recent years, the team has traveled to China, Spain, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The mission of the team is to promote boating and water-sports safety, through education and participation in group water skiing and theatrical water skiing performances.

Weekly shows are performed at no charge to the community on Tower Lake on Burbank Road.  Special events include an annual SkiFest, Patriot Day Show, Halloween Shows and the Holiday Show."
